Suri Silk DK

We've raved about our Suri Silk lace base for so long that we had to add a DK version! This luxurious yarn is crafted with 90% Suri Alpaca and 10% silk, compared to the lace version’s blend of 76% Alpaca and 24% Silk. The silk content is just enough to hold all that alpaca fluff together without sacrificing the yardage—enjoy the DK yardage you’re familiar with at 246 yards per 100g skein.

Suri Silk DK is ideal for shawls, cowls, sweaters, and anything else that touches the skin. We’re not exaggerating when we say that wearing something made from this yarn makes "adulting" feel a little easier! It pairs beautifully with other yarns in our collection, such as the Shaniko Collection, Merino Sport, and Merino Twist.

Please keep in mind that Suri Silk DK will shed. To make knitting with it even more enjoyable, we recommend using a yarn-friendly lotion—after all, what knitter couldn’t use a bit more hand care? My favorite is Utopia's Recovery Balm.
