What is a Yarn Blank?

A yarn blank is a piece of loosely pre-knitted fabric that enables hand dyers to create unique color transitions. While the finished color pattern on your project will differ from the yarn blank, the sequence of color changes will remain consistent.

Yarn blanks are designed for you to knit directly from them, unraveling as you go—no more runaway skeins! This method keeps your working yarn neat and makes it exciting to watch the new pattern emerge. They're also great for traveling and knitting on the go.
